About Publishing Comics

Publishing Comics is a website setup and dedicated to helping aspiring comic book creators and comic book veterans extend and maximize their skill set.

We bring a range of essential resources, insightful news and workings of the comic book industry to the comic book writer, penciller, inker, colorist, letter, artist and publisher. We supply a range of educational comic book tutorials from how to draw, to inking, coloring, and to print and even getting your comic book published professionally.

This blog is run by Steven Wu and Craig Randall who both share a passion for comics. Both preparing to begin work on their own comic projects they dive into the comic book world to discover the trade and in turn, to share their findings on comic book creation and publishing with the world. With our easy and clear to follow blogs and tutorials on various elements you will find many interesting aspects that will further enhance your work.

As you browse through our archives, you will find valuable info on comic book creating techniques and styles which is always worth checking out. There will be interviews with comic book professionals to get an industrial insight on their workings and process of comic book creation. We’ll also be at major social events across the country and we will be posting blogs and interviews from those too.

Meet the team at Publishing Comics:

Steven Wu

Our website manager is active in the web publishing industry having worked for major web development companies. Steven now works as a freelance web designer and developer. A lover of comic book since an early age, he reads Marvel comics and Manga on a regular basis, as well as routinely watching Anime whenever possible.

Steven has been helping Craig with his numerous comic projects in development, with a keen eye for editing and helping developing comic book plot, layout, format, structure and narratives. He is also excellent in website design and is responsible for this brilliant website.

Craig Randall

Has worked in book publishing industry as a graphic designer and illustrator for the last 13 years. His work includes products such as Superman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Marvel Heroes and Star Wars. Craig has a passion for comics, regularly reads Invincible from Image Comics as well as Dark Horses’ Star Wars range. Other hobbies and pastimes is a passionate soccer fan, supporting Arsenal F.C. and going to home games whenever he can, Craig also has a love for gaming, especially MMORPG such as Final Fantasy, World of Warcaft and soon Star Wars.

Craig is currently working on his comic book creation Star People Adventures, currently in pre-production phase; watch out for its release in the future.
